Bottomless Mimosa Time

Today was an awesome sunny and warm day, so Nick and I decided to ride bikes towards downtown and try out Paris on the Platte. Mostly due to the purchase of a living social deal, but also because I knew they had brunch and more importantly bottomless mimosas! There is nothing better than sipping on a refreshing mimosa while basking in the sun. We both ordered their Venice Bennies, they were pretty standard, decent hollandaise with a side of taters. It hit the spot and the mimosas made for a pleasant bike ride home.

But before we went home we decided to stop at the light rail station to see where I would need to get on to commute to work. I wanted to buy some tickets and (in my semi-inebriated state) I bought 4 round trip tickets from the kiosk. Which would be fine at any other rail station. Except I failed to see the giant yellow sign that says tickets are only good for 24 hours. Effffffff. These tickets are not cheap people. I'm hoping their security is lax and I can get away with using them in the next week...or I will have just thrown away $30. Poop.

The bottomless mimosas were still worth it damnit.

  1. omg, blast from the past! i never knew paris on the platte to be a restaurant or bar but i guess that area of town has become quite gentrified over the years. In high school it was our go-to place when we wanted to venture to the other side of the tracks, drink bottomless pots of coffee, chain smoke, play chess and feel like we were just as cool and bohemian as the artists, college students and questionably homeless people that camped out there. oh how the times change!

ps. if you're on a quest for great brunch places, i highly recommend racine's.
